Buying a clutch
It is time for a clutch/flywheel combo. I have a 00 GSR i/e/h. I know I'm going with ACT. I want it very streetable but yet will get me some power to the ground and hold up on the track. Im going w/the 8.8 lb flywheel so what clutch shoul I get they offer quite a few. Thanks in advance
Depends how much you want to spend. I'm using the Exedy Organic and I wish I picked something stronger...
I'd suggest a cerametallic... I've heard good things about their strength and streetability

I'm using the Exedy stage 2 3 puck clutch with a ACT flywheel, and i give it 2 thumbs up. You get a lot of power to the wheel. But then it all depends on how much you want to spend
i got the act 12lbs flywheel and a act 6 puck clutch kit.. and dude no problem on the road.. just gotta get used to it in the beginning cuz the 6 puck is hard... but yea two

check out our site at advancedclutch.com. Pretty simple, we have our clutch kits rated by torque capacity and increase in clamp load. For street, get a street clutch that will hold at least 10% more torque than you expect to put out (HDSS most likely, unless you are pushing some serious ponies). If you are not sure about the torque output, you can get a gut feel by how much increase we are getting in clamp load. For instance, if we advertise a 50% increase in clamp load on our street clutch, then the clutch will handle 50% more torque than stock street clutch. Keep in mind, we are talking torque, not horsepower. Torque is essentially how hard the car pushes your but into the seat. Horsepower is more the estimate of energy (power) by measuring how hard it pushes at a particular rpm.
We advertise honest tested numbers, not some dreamed up hype like some of our competitors. I have seen 200, 300 and up to 500% increase advertised. Yeah right! So that means their Honda clutch will hold on my Powerstroke Diesel... sure.
