Nutshell:
Installing EG Si OEM replacement exhaust on 92 CX. Obviously it comes up short.
I have an ITR cat lying around in my garage, which will make a nice test pipe, except for its open hole for the 02 sensor. I don't have an 02 sensor lying around, so I need to plug it somehow.
Is a sparkplug the same thread/size??? (I figure I could gring down anything unneccessary and screw it in).
OR, does anyone have a shot O2 sensor that I could pay shipping + 5 bucks for???
thanks

No it's nto the same size as a spark plug and you will not find it in a hardware store. At least I couldn't around here. Something about illegal to sell or something like that.
I ended up in a little automotive shop that had a bunch of crap they were sending back for returns. One of the replacement cats had a plug. They gave it to me. :D
I have seen O2 plugs on some websites. I'm sure google "O2 sensor plug" would come up with something.

Thanks!
Another user (sinitron) suggested that to me, too. Who knew such things existed??? Well, you and he did--not me.

*edit* was referring to the 02 sensor plug--not the oil plug (initially skipped over that)
Oil plug is a great idea, though.

I'd like to re-use that cat when/if I do a swap, so I'd like to plug it in a reversible manner.

I ended up using a 5/8" round metal plug from the Depot. Cost a buck and it snapped right in. No problems with it so far...
