ENGLISH TOWN ROAD COURSE OPENS IN 05
I just read on the English Town DragWay web site that they have allready began construction on a road course and it is planned to be finished by spring '05. 13 corners including one 16 degree banked one. 40 feet wide around the whole track except 50 feet on the straight away. Sounds like fun.
It has been done for awhile. They have been trying to get approval from the township to open. I believe they did get the approval. Not sure but I think it is for time trial and DE only. No racing, but I could be wrong.

By the sound of this, it's probably a brand new track. Not like the 1.3 mile one that has already been built. That track is more like 20 feet wide with no run-off.

I practically live around the block from the place (within 10 miles), and we in the NNJR-SCCA claim Raceway Park as our 'home' track..
It is the same track, banking, no runoff and all. Karts and manufacturer demo days will occur there. I wouldn't count on HPDE's, and if they do, I doubt I'd turn a wheel there.

I also have seen it up close and would never put myself or my caR on that track, One wrong move and its over.
Not enough space to make a proper track setup.

That sucks I was starting to get excited. The website made it sound alot better (www.etowndragway.com)
