Default 98 accord battery drain

battery on my 98 v6 accord just seems to drain for no reason. dealer says if they can't get code, then then can't find the problem. just replaced battery and alternator two weeks ago. any suggestions?

do you have an aftermarket stereo system. There has to be something on all the time killing your battery

yea aftermarket stereo systems take alot out of a battery if you are constantly cranking the sucker...

also check all the wiring on the alternator make sure everythings clean and tightly fastened...

thanks, you are right about the drain and there is an aftermarket radio. but its strange. sitting over night does not cause any problems. its only sometimes and like today there was a couple of short trips and then it sat for 4 hours. when i tried to crank it, it seemed like the battery was down. i jumped it without any problems and put the battery on a charger and within a few minutes it was fully charged. i had the battery and alternator checked at local auto parts store and they said both were ok. i appreciate your input. thanks

short trips kill your battery your alternator doesnt have time to charge up but that still wont cause the battery to die. You have to have an axternal amp that always stays on lfor the battery to be drained completly.
