Default b-series connecting rods

I was reading an article about honda b-series engines and in it it mentions "The factory connecting rods are good for up to 50 hp over stock" now this may sound stupid, but would that be each individual rod? or all four as a whole?
Im assuming that the article ment that all four as a whole can take up to 50hp over stock, but I haven't been able to confirm that, i've searched, googled it up but nothing.

I think they meant that all four con-rods can handle 50hp extra as-a-whole. With that in mind, it's time to recognize that this fact is not entirely true. There have been many turbocharged/supercharged B-Series motors (in stock form) that are capable of handling more than 50hp more than stock. There are tons of factors to consider, which is why it's really hard to make a precise estimate of how much extra hp stock motors can take. Check your sources of information...they may not be as reliable as you think.

Almost all aftermarket rods use ARP studs. The factory rod bolts stretch under load causing rod failure. I have read many articles and every aftermarket rod has been broken but the only one to really hang is the Carillo rods. They are the only one to use a stud larger then stock..... This is something to think about.

don't know where they came up with there figures but I ran a turbo LS with stock rods with no problem and I was pushing more than 50 hp over.

I love it when people think that "POOPER STREET" is the holy grail of info.
