Default Speeding ticket advice

Yeah i know, i hate when other people post "ooo i got a ticket how can i get out of it?" well this is my 4th ticket and i've gotten out of every other one through either traffic school or a combination of that fines etc - none are on my record. the one i got is for 77 in a 50 on a highway. It was nighttime, rainy, and he didn't get me with radar so i assume he did a "visual"? There has GOT to be a great way to get out of this - I mean think about it, its raining, dark, and HE DIDN'T USE RADAR or laser so how accurate could it be? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully this was less than 10 days ago.

Go to the courthouse in the jurisdiction where you got the ticket, and say you want to plead not guilty and file a motion of discovery. Basically this means that the state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the method used to clock you is accurate. Usually they don't really want to bother and just drop it.

Thanks for the reply -

-it was actually about 16 days ago and my courtdate was today. however, since i'm at school out of state and missed the signup date for driver's school i was kinda screwed. Instead of just paying it - my brother went in and asked for a continuance, which I got. Is it still too late? Thanks again for your help.

Depends on the jurisdiction. I know that in Wisconsin you have to do it within 10 days of receiving the citation.

You might as well try to file the motion of discovery...see what they say.
