destroked = less TQ
Youll regret it thats all.
Honda's already beg for some TQ, why give it a motor that can barely produce 100 tq....
when for almost the same price u can get a b18c

NICE!!!!!!!! The wiring is no different from any other B16A...the difference is that the B16B will be OBD II. You will want to convert the car to OBD I. Use OBD I distributor, injectors, and ECU and it will fire right up. Don't listen to B16A haters, the DA was made for the B16...I'd rather trust Honda than that guy

Well, that is true but how much torque does a B18C (non R) make above 7,200 RPM? After the engines peak torque RPM, torque output falls. The B16B makes it peak torque quite a bit higher than the B18C's 7,200; so in the engine's main powerband (7,500 -8,500 RPM) they make similar torque numbers. This is why he wants to use the B16B on the track. If he were drag racing I would recommend the B18C but on the track, peak HP and short gears of the B16B rule.

Most likely because all they had was a b17a

B17A is just a bastard B16A that was barely stroked and has absolutely no dome in its pistons. I guess Honda of Japan didn't trust Americans to put premium gas in their cars back in those days...now that i think about it...they still put "premium unleaded fuel only" in DC2 GS-R's gauge clusters, yet they still only had 10:1 compression.
just for kicks i can get you a 96spec itr motorswap for $3900

but to answer your question. as long as you have a running integra yoou could use your stock eng. harness and just add the folowing, vtec solenoid, vtec oil preasure switch*,knock sensor.
*96+all jdm b serries motors don't have vtec oil preasure switch. if you use the jdm ecu then you don't need it. if you use usdm ecu you will need to replace the vtec solenoid for one with a oil sensor, or use a vafc or something the same that will bypass the sensor missing.
