98GSR VS 95
Theres been alot of talk about the 94-95 gsr's are faster and produce more power in stock form.I've seen plenty of dyno charts that prove this theory to be right,so i purchased a 95 ecu/and its was later modified,i connected it with a skunk2 adapter i got from JDM because i wasn't gonna try and make my own.The car felt alot better,it was a noticable difference, not like the cars pissin on vettes or anyting like that, however it felt better threw the entire rev range even down low,i would suggest this mod for anyone with a 96+gsr(even thow the 96&97 aren't as restricted as the 98+).But i have seen stock 95's tested around 15.1 to 15.3 and 98 +around 15.6 to 15.7.I would suggest this mod to anyone who owns a obd2 gsr,i've even read the 94-95 ecu responds better to forced induction and can be chipped unlike the obd2 ecu's(unless you laptop tune it with jap software)Any opionions?

I have a 00 GSR and I am VERY happy with its power. It made 176 whp and 125 wtq with the mods below. I have seen other GSR's with similar mods make less HP though. I have not yet seen one make more HP.
seems like I got a ringer of a slow year then since after a few runs at the track I got it down to a very traction limited 15.3 due to the awesome tires.
just realized forgot to say I traded the teg in my name for a 98 gsr.

edit: might i add his GSR was a 98 and made considerable power. you can find his dynos on http://www.dynocenter.com.

The ECU setup costed me around 600$ when it was all said and done,i got the 95 ecu(p72) off E-bay,the harness and mods from jdm, there is no speed or rev limiter,i never tested the speed limiter,i drive fast but i would like to live a long and prosporus life, and the fuel/air/timing maps are suppose to be optimized.but just like you said if you ain't spooling your not talking power, well the 95ECU will respond better to forced induction.
Bit if you check the integ dyno center you'll see newer gsr's pushin in the mid and high 130's in stock form, however the 94-95's tend to pust mid to high 140's with more tq.My point is i believe the 95 ecu runs the car better in more ways than 1.modded or not modded,it doesn't look for the sensor on the cat like the obd11 computer does which alows less restriction.
For those who are interested in getting a 95 integra gsr ecu (p72 , obd1), I have one stock one for sale. Obd1 only uses 1 o2 sensor. You can drop the cat and run test pipe (at the track or whatever) without the check engine light. email me if interested.
