Might be selling my 98, how much is it worth?
Hey guys,
If a deal works out for me, I'll be selling my R. I need to run a value past y'all.
Here it is....
1998 #765
53K miles
No AC
well-maintained, etc. Has a few dings, etc., that would be expected, but looks very nice overall
2nd owner...bought it at 17K miles.
Driven mainly to and from work....also back and forth from NJ to Pitssburgh about 5 or 6 times (parents house)
Mods: Momo club 3 wheel, spoon rear strut bar, airbags removed (still have them), clear front turns...I think thats about it.
Also included in the price of the car would be all stock parts (airbags, steering wheel). I would also throw in the California car cover, shop manual, nose mask (bra)...I have a couple of sets of brake pads that would go with it....probably missing something little, but that's about it.
Anyway, I'm thinking of putting it up for sale at $16,900. Looking at other prices, and all the stuff I'm including, that seems to be fair. Hell, I even saw 98 LS's with those miles at that asking price.
I'm just curious what you guys think is a realisitc price. It's not going to be urgent that I sell it, but I'd rather just start somewhere realistic and not dick around. Let me know what you think. Thanks gents.

I would return it to stock making dosh from selling aftermarket parts and fix the dings and any other outstanding flaws with the proceeds. The sell for $17k.
Don't draw attention to the fact that the car has had the **** driven out of it by throwing in brake pads. Most people want a stock car.

The car has not had the **** driven out it by any means. I autoxed occasionally for 1 season, and took it on the track a few times. It's basically transportation for me. I took the stock pads off, and have those and one extra set that I got and didn't like (EBC...yuck). I don't plan on going through the hassle of putting that airbag/wheel, etc. back in it. I don't think I could do it anyway (it was like that when I bought it). Also, the car drives a lot nicer with the smaller wheel...not that big truck wheel the factory puts in. I also don't want to spend any money on fixing dings, etc. There are only a couple, and nothing major. Putting more money into the car at this point is senseless. If I get a couple hundred less for it because of the wheel, etc., then so be it. I'm just looking for a fair price as it stands.
Thanks for the input man.
