Default Surging idle after hitting VTEC

Ok, so I'm trying to work out all the little quirks on my b18c1 swap.

On initial startup, car idles fine at ~750, and even after driving around normally, will keep a nice idle there.

However, if you get on it and get into VTEC and then come down to a stop, the idle will surge from 1k-2k. If I hit VTEC and keep cruising around for a few minutes without coming to a stop (like flooring it on the onramp to get up to speed and then cruising on the freeway for a few miles), it wont surge when I eventually do some to a stop.

I've cleaned out the IACV, tightened up the FITV, etc.
ECU is chipped (using crome) but only to move the VTEC point due to my skunk2 manifold.

Any ideas?

edit: Oh yeah, if I turn the car off and restart it, it will reset it and idle fine until you get into VTEC again.

Might be a quirk with Crome. I'd try using something like Uberdata to burn a stock bin file onto a new chip (or that same chip if its the AT29C256.

Possibly, but it would still idle like this on the stock ECU as well, even before I chipped it.
