Default winter project anyone?

well the rain is about to hit soon and i was wondering what i should do while its raining...should i buy a gs-r motor and stay legit...or just go wit a supercharger on a d16a6....i currently have msd and h/e/i wit nitrous...but i want to get rid of the nitrous because i just got ticket for state ref....soo should i just get a b18c save for JRSC and work my way up or jus build the d16a6...goals are daily driven 13's sec crx...i would want to supercharge rather then turbo because of the maintanice....

anyone else have a project thats going to be over the winter?? please post up project for ideas and so for me and others.... thank you

talk to CRX1.8t about this one he had that set up -the nos, tranny bearings were over the hill at 85k miles, it was fast i guess but was at the peak of its potential with about equal peak as the b, he has a b18a now its stock and he and will swear by it

Well I'll join in too, with my winter project plans. I have a 88 CRX HF with a LS swap and the standard i/h/e right now. I plan on going turbo over the winter (not that it'll take that long, I need to save up the $$). My setup will be:

Stock internal LS motor
T3/T04e Garrett turbo
InlinePro manifold
Tial wg/bov
Spearco intercooler
450 injectors

I'll probably go with Hondata for engine management, but I'm still a little sketchy about the whole Hondata process. I'll have to read up on it a lil more.

Hoping to run low 8's or possibly 7's (1/8 mile) next spring

junk the A6. get a GSR.

in stock form the GSR already makes more HP than the little blown motor like you have (and like i had before i ditched it for bigger and better things).

a B18C1 will always be a better powerplant than the anemic civic motor.

my winter project is similar to crex23's except i am having the internals replaced and with some headwork. i am going to have it professionally dyno tuned at a performance shop; i hope to have at least 300 HP to start out with. i will turn up the boost as i progress in things...
