Some people remove the flywheel inspection plate and jam a big flathead screw driver between the teeth on the flywheel and transmission casing.
Alternatively, you can also use a strip of scrap metal with two holes in it. It only needs to be ~ 1" x 3", with the each hole towards the end. Use a bolt from the flywheel spection cover and fasten the metal piece to it via one hole. On the other hole, line it up with one of the threaded holes in the flywheel. You'll need to find a metric bolt that fits it however.
Either of these usually give enough holding power to keep the engine from spinning while wrenching on the crank pulley bolt. Of course it would help to have a big breaker bar or impact gun.

I made a crank pulley holder out of some galvanized gas fittings.
Found a fitting that fit perfectly in that hex slot (b-series). Used a 18" pipe wrench to hold it in place. 1/2" breaker bar with 3' extension. Took me the whole day to get it off. Impact gun
