Need help/advice...im stuck.
Hers the situation: I am college student that has to pay for insurance and the price of the car. I am stuck between some cars I have found.
Car #1: 1993 Honda accord ex with 97K miles for $4500. He put speakers thare are pretty expensive(bostin accoustic pro i think he said) in there that i would rather not have so i could put my ALpine Type-r speakers in. I think the speakers and cd player is why the price is higher. I am hesitant of buying this car because of the price and i need to change the timing belt and water pump in a few thusand miles also that will run about $400-500. It looks pretty good inside except that it seems to have ahd 2 green markers leak in the back seat(in the crease where the back of the seat meets the seat part. Also there are some dents/scratches on the outside of the car(not too many tho) and is the color of light green.
I am having trouble decideing if i should get it or not. I like how the car drives and everything else but the price seems to be holding me back. The origional price was $4750 but he said he would go to $4500. gas mileage is a factor also, what is the average for this cars mileage?(also i was wondering if the EX and the LX get the same mileage?) Should I wait it out to see what comes along or buy it? or is there another option I cant think of now since i am really really tired right now.

Here ya go buddy http://autos.msn.com/research/...sub=0 always glad to help....you should find everything you need there.
for 4500 sounds a little expensive to me,,, i think you can find another 93 with 95k for under 4 easy... 5th gens 94-97 usually go for around 4-5k...
take your time and search around, theres alot more people willing to sell the same car or newer for less than that price...
another option you can do is buy a shell for like 1grand or less and either put a stock engine in for like under 2g's.... or swap in a h22 for 3g-4500$ if you need a shop to do so.. both ways itll still be cheaper than 4500$'s or just slightly more...

Patience is the key with car buying. Wait for the car you want at the price you want. You should not rush into a big decision and get something you don't want. Wait it out, you'll find what you want at the price you want to spend.
