Default Honda Antifreeze

i was gonna get honda coolant but they cost like $16.00
what other antifreeze brand can u guys recommend??

Just use something not containing silicates and borates. Sierra is one of them, also most manufacturers, Prestone, etc. have a certain type that do not contain the above two.

Don't be cheap. Get the Honda.

Mike K posted a Honda service bulletin about it. I believe Honda uses no silicone in their mixture, and is a much better protectant.

that's not the POINT . why would i pay $16 for premixed honda coolant when i can get non premixed coolant for $6. if other brands can't protect as well as Honda brand than i will not hesitate to pay $16 for the Honda coolant. but if other brands can protect as well as Honda coolant than WHY WOULD I PAY EXTRA??

Yep, I think this is the one not containing silicates nor borates. Just check around.
And I agree, WHY pay more than you have to?
But then again, it's hard to put a price on peace of mind.

what about just using distilled water and Redline water wetter? I have been thinking about doing this.

Water Wetter is not designed to replace antifreze.

what about just using distilled water and Redline water wetter? I have been thinking about doing this.
