You guys know the one I"m talking about right?? The one that has something to do with the butterflies. Well there is a little hose coming off of that box and goes up and connects to the back of the manifold,Well during my swap The little nipple on the black box broke off so now I cannot run a hose from it to the mani. I was getting erratic idle because of the open vacum source in the mani so I plugged it up for now. But how will this effect my butterfly operation or performance??
with it plugged up your intak manifold will only be using two ( i think) of the four runners to suck in air. once your car hits 4400 rpm then the vaccuum decreases releasing the throttle body like clip in the sid of the intake manifold on the drivers side, casuing all four to open up.
without it you will notice the loss of low end torque. Many people don't have it hooked up right/ don't have it at all... as long as you cap the leak it should be a prob. without it.

If you want your butterflies to operate like stock you can use a fitting to jimmy rig the hose back onto the box I've done it before and it worked fine. I have a spare box too if you need one.
No need to crawl under the car. Just unplug the vacuum hose from the butterfly valve. And cap off the other end. Or just cap off directly from the intake manifold.

You dont even need the box, just plug the vacuum lines directly into the solenoid.....I have experimented with it a little bit, and found that if it functions properly, you will have a lot more low-end power......
