Stock Taillight tinting
I heard of it before, but dont know the specifics on it and i think id like to try it out if possible...putting it in the over to a certain temp. and darkening it up some, has anyone ever done this or know how? if so please post! thanks
You can get some paint on colors what are used to make realistic stained glass windows, it's called "Decra led" and you just paint on a thin film of the colour you want the tint to be, the good thing is it's like a plastic coat, so if you want to remove it you just lift the edge and peel it off like a skin. If you like it just leave it on as it's waterproof and quite long lasting.
I used some spray on hobby paint from a hobby store, used for tinting windows on model cars - it worked okay, but road salt absolutely raped it.
I used the matching brand of clear coat still meant for hobby purposes, but I think any good non-yellowing clear coat will work better - only reason I didn't is because I think the paint I got was a laquer or something and the clearcoat I had on hand was another..variety or something - didnt want it to melt through my lights or something retarded.
though my post was retarded... lol
