03 Accord Broken Rear Stablizer Link
Hi all:
I'm a newbe to the forum and to Honda...
My problem:
I have a 2003 Accord LX 4dr 4cyl automatic. This weekend I somehow broke the stabilizer link that connects to the anti-sway bar on the left rear. It is a rather easy and cheap part to replace ($31 from the dealer for the part and a couple of hours of homework).
Questions:
Has anyone else had this thing break? If so, is it likely to break again? Do you think this was an engineering flaw or just the tough luck of poor quality control. What might you recommend for an aftermarket replacement part (if the new one or the other side breaks again). I'm not averse to replacing the whole rear sway bar and even the front bar if there is a decent affordable kit that wont keep failing on me. A little handling improvement wouldn't hurt
Note:
I'm not a racer and I don't really drive this car hard, thus the part really should not have failed IMHO.
Thanks in advance.
Brent
