I Just Got My ITR
I picked up my ITR last night. I am so happy with this car, it is amazing. I will be posting pictures later. I am one lucky kid. I turn 16 Nov. 8 hoping that car would be in my driveway, but couldn't find one around that time. Well that wait was well worth it. Black/Black, 13,xxx miles......I AM AMAZED. I about to take it to school, should i be worried about anything, and what alarm system do you guys recommend? Im really pleased....VTEC is <speechless>, you all know what I mean. Just like to share my car I got with you all.
Post pictures in appearance forum, and welcome!
The staff of Honda-Tech.com has become aware that you, oh timid newbie, may be wary of posting your musings on our little corner of the Internet. But, young fragile newbie, we want to make you feel welcome and answer your questions. To ease the process we suggest you heed the following advice:
First, research our topics to see if your question has already been answered. The site is equipped with a search function that allows you to browse past discussions. Not only might you find an answer to your question, you will also find a great archive of accumulated knowledge that you may wish to read at any time.
Be patient. The simplest questions are often answered last. Many people here have been on Internet discussion boards for quite some time and are reluctant to draft answers to questions that they may have posted several times before. Most all questions receive at least some sort of response by the end of each day.
Most importantly, be clear and objective. State the specifics of your situation, as each situation demands a different answer. List your modifications, your intended purpose for the car, and specifically what characteristics you would like to change. The more information you can give us, the better answer you will receive.
If you have a question, make sure it’s a question. Most victims of flame wars post answers in the forms of questions. They have their mind made up, they are not impartial, and all too often they have not done their own research.
Discussions are sometimes better than answers. If you don’t feel as though you are 100% sure of your answer, let your uncertainty be known or don’t answer at all. You will not be flamed for posting your thoughts, theories, opinions, or even wild guesses as long as you don’t represent them as fact. You’ll have done no wrong by making an incorrect assumption as long as you remain open to its discussion and dissection. Keep in mind there is probably someone else out there that can provide a 100% answer.
Try not to **** off the big meany-head Administrators or Moderators.
Enjoy yourself.

Let me give some advice as well. Leave your R completely stock for at least 6 months so you can really understand what it is. This will allow you time to actually find which path you will take if you decide to modifiy it. The Integra Type-R is a special vehicle and should not be carrying around cheap aftermarket parts. There are cars that will be faster than you and some that might handle a little better (not many), but for the price you have one of the all around best performing and feeling cars created. Take care of it and be careful.
You are 16. Don't let your friends drive your car around, no matter how many times they ask. Don't succume to peer pressure. This is not to be taken lightly.
And as Boba Fett says, "Don't street race, the life you save could be your own."
Do everything in your power to make sure you can enjoy owning (or driving) this car for as long as possible.
Welcome to h-t.

Welcome.......Like it was said b4 be very very careful of the car. There are A LOT of haters out there. again as it was said b4 whatever alarm you choose to get be sure it was a pager option. congrats on the car!!!
My piece of advice is don't drive it like I drove my first car (1980 Mustang 4-cyl). The e-brake was worn out by the time I was done with it ..
Seriously though, try not to look TOO cool in your new car. There are always folks out there trying to knock you down, so the lower profile you can keep the better .. (*voice of experience*)
Good luck!

believe me. if you drive it to school.. Your emblems will be gone the first week. if not soon after. Then they'll end up knowing where you live and they will attempt to tamper or steal your car. Your car is best off leaving it as a weekend driver. But at least get a alarm..and a club. But anyways welcome to the board. And i noticed you from palmsprings. when theres a meet maybe we could meet up and drive together. I know couple R's around here so now theres one more..Take care and have fun with your new car.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in your sig. is says it's a NBP 00 ITR. NBP were only on 01 ITR'S. A 00 is only FBP, I should know, because I own on as well. Anyways, congrats. Let me know if you need any parts, because I'm trying to get rid of some of mine. I got a JRSC I want to sell, along with MSD ignition, and DC headers. I got some more goodies. Just email me.
welcome.......
As many ppl said already.......keep your car low-profile, don't park in school, shopping mall or bring it to see movie. I know the excitment for drive an ITR.....but just keep in mind that there's a lot ppl out there WANT your car/ part from ur car.
Good luck.
