Default Headgasket question

Okay here goes, i wanted to build an lsvtec with pr3 pistons, ls rods, etc. I planned on using a GSR head with some toda spec b camshafts and i wanted to bump up my compression ratio with a 1 layer headgasket so i could yield better hp numbers with my toda cams.

Is this a big no no? Am i better off with an OEM 3 layer or can i safely run this headgasket? I was told i would be about 45,000's off from piston to valve and that doesn't really give me any room for cam tuning ability. What do you guys think
