Default Y8 swap in EF, help a brotha out, obd1 swap questions

Ive had a y8 swap in my car for some time now, but i trashed the block. So I am replacing the block with another y8 block and converting to obd1 now ( i was running obd0 with vafc before). The question is, how well will the obd1 z6 distributor mount on the y8 head? Can I use a d15 obd1 distributor for the obd1 swap? Will there be any issues I run in to using the boomslang/blown hatch obd1 harness and the obd2 motor? thanks.

You should have no issues with the harness. The Z6 distributor will not bolt to the Y8 head. The D15 one will work. However, the Y8 distributor will work just fine with OBD1.

I'm running an OBD-1 D15 distrbutor on a Y8 head.
It bolts up fine and works fine with the P28 OBD-1 ECU.

Ok, Im thinking of converting to obd1 by myself. The cost of a conversion harness is enough to buy head studs and a timing belt, both of which I need. Does anyone know where I can find a really good writeup on doing it yourself. I used the search and found a few things but would look to see if you guys find any better stuff Thanks.
