Depending on what year GS-R you have it might not directly bolt up. USDM ITR headers will bolt up to 00-01 GS-R's but not 94-99 GS-R's.

The length of the a pipe on the header (the lower portion that connects to the cat), is shorter on the 94-99 i think. So the header will be longer than your stock header. But you can make it work by using a custom cat.

Please correct me if im wrong.

"make it fit"

There is no making it fit, and ITR headers as far as function goes are exactly the same...

Think of an ITR engine as a mildly built GSR engine with a b16a head on it...

ITRs strength is in its chassis with a very little help from its motor

The USDM ITR header will probably give you mild gains, if any over the USDM GSR header. However, a JDM 4-1 ITR header (DC or Honda OEM), with a 2.5 inch collector will help out quite a bit. In order to make it fit you would need a custom high flow cat with a 2.5 inch flange on the header side, and a flange to fit your exhaust system on the other side.

That's weird because my friends and I tried to install a USDM 2001 ITR header on another friend's 96 GSR and the header was too long. It would not bolt up to the stock cat. The ITR header had a bung for an o2 sensor and the GSR header didn't have any bung holes for an o2, there were two bungs on the cat for the o2. The USDM 2001 ITR exhaust would not bolt up either. The GSR exhaust b-pipe was longer.

Post pics of your header/exhaust.

ITR header will bolt up to 94-01 Integra LS/GS/RS/SE and 00-01 Integra GSR only.

Not exactly but close enough. I wouldn't consider all it's gains over a stock gsr motor very little help though.

itr-195hp gsr-170hp
itr redline-8400 gsr redline-8100
itr comp-10.6:1 gsr comp10:1

i will agree with the suspension, but the engine in the itr is not just "mildly" more than the gsr.
