i have the actual arm off but the round rubber plug and the screw are still on there. i removed all the screws i could see that held it up and it is loose but still wont come out. tried a mallet...didnt work...im done.....anyone know how to get the bastard out~?

 

You have to remove the motor assembly inside the hatch. I took my buddy's out for him (guinnea pig ) and it wasnt too bad. Remove plastic from inside, remove motor. We ended up temporarily plugging the hole with epoxy.
