i have a 91 ls and i have and exhaust system but i want to make it louder with out punching out the cat i also cant get a hold of a test pipe but not sure about it? ideas?

 

why would you want to make it louder? just get a bigger exhaust, a new cat and a header and you will be very loud.

 

ugh... please don't tell me your aim is just to make it louder. If that's all you're gonna do, atleast drive something that sounds good.

A test pipe will make your exhaust louder. I think an axle-back exhaust is loud enough as it is.

 

if you want it loud, run a 2.25in magnaflow in place of the cat and end it there.

 

just take off your whole exhaust.
