Any pictures at all of a del sol with the Seibon CF lip (lip pictured on kingmotorsports.com for hardcore photo choppers). I have a B-Day soon and need to see what this looks like soon so I can get one. TIA

 

I have searched and have found nothing on google and honda-tech, i hate alta-vista and those other search engines and I even e-mailed kingmotorsports and seibon. Damn maybe I will buy it and install it and be the first in the country and the most different del sol in north america. hahahahahha.

I looked at the lip on Kingmotorsports.com, and it doesn't look like it fits the lines of the Del Sol at all. I think it might be misprinted, because the shape looks like that of the RSX, with the point in the middle, and the high sides.

I looked at the Seibon.com site and didn't see any listing for the Del Sol, but when I looked through the RSX lips, the same one is pictured. Here's a link to the Seibon RSX page: http://www.seibon.com/Products...R.htm.

 

Maybe they posted the wrong pic? Well like i said, somebody be the test mice.

 

When I e-mailed kingmotorsports.com they said that they did in fact have it for the del sol and then I asked if it would fit the 96-97 sols and they said yes, the bumpers are basically the same. I knew it looked like and RSX lip and that made me sceptical and the fact there are no pics of one on a sol. Seibon's website hasn't changed, I looked at it atleast a year ago and it's the same thing (from what I remember). I think I might just buy it from them and then if it is in fact for an RSX or w/e car they send me I will just send it back. I'll make the sacrifice for the del sol community (atleast those few with good taste)<too many del sol ricers>.

Actually, I just went to the site and checked out a lip for my DA, and it posted the same exact pic as the lip for the del sol. I think they just used one picture for all the lips, so people got what they looked like.

Yeah, I just noticed that. That's too bad for the people that go on the site thinking they're ordering a specific lip, when in reality the lip they get will look nothing like the picture they use.

 

I offered to take a pic of my car with the lip installed, I think I will drive and pick one up (I live in MN), maybe they can take a pic, it's just kind of inoing that they show that picture and not even the actual lip. I let you guys know what they say.

 

A buddy of mine got a Seibon hood for his Sol, didn't fit too good. Excellent build quality, but fitment was gappy on both sides. Apparently that was one the "old" hoods though and they recently changed the mold, so maybe the new mold is better.

Granted that was about a hood and this topic is about a lip, but how hard is it to adjust a lip to fit even if it is slightly off? I would bet their lips are fine.

 

They emailed me back and said that Seibon stopped making the lip...now i need one, I trust kingmotorsports to sell decent products and this lip seems nice. And they also have now ran out of them, Seibon is making a new mold, they said to check the page in 2 weeks or so. I will get one then.
