Default Can't shift into higher gear at 6000+ rpm?

Didn't matter which gear, I couldn't shift into the next higher gear until the RPMs dropped down into the 4000ish area. Sort of a problem when you are trying to pass people on a mountain overpass, eh? Also a problem when you are going to go autox after you finish said mountain trip, but then can't because you don't feel like breaking your car 2.5 hours away from home. (I just turned around and went home.)

Anyway, I'm going to drain the fluid and put new fluid in tomorrow to make sure it's fresh and topped off. The clutch fluid resevoir is full and the fluid is pretty fresh.

I'm hoping that I'm just a bit low on fluid and that combined with the high altitude I was at, that was the problem? Shifting was easier as I got closer to home and lower in altitude. But if that's not the problem, what could it be? Clutch? Pressure plate? Transmission stuff? I'm clueless in the transmission area.

I'd start by bleeding and inspecting the slave cylinder. Could be a number of things, start with the easy things and work your way to the more in depth work. How many miles on the disk and pressure plate? Also when you say it wouldn't go into gear was it like there was nothing there? A blocked feeling? Or would it grind?

Probably about 40k or so on an Exedy clutch/pp.

It felt like it was blocked, no grinding.

I'm kind of leaning towards a broken/loose motor mount now because at idle I'm getting some pretty **** vibrations I haven't really had before. Could the motor be shifting enough that I can't get the car in gear because the motor is swaying and throwing off the alignment of things too much? Didn't grind once I don't think.
