Default car won't start

my car broke down on my way home today. the way it stopped was the car started slowing down and when i pushed the gas pedal it wouldnt go anymore, so i pulled over and my car wouldn't start anymore. it cranks up but it wont actually start. im guessing it has to do with something fuel related obviously? but what?

My mom had a similar problem happen to her on her way home from Laughlin(sp). Turned out it was her fuel pump. She was driving, then it just lost all power. Have you tried starting since this happend?

Yeah, I think you should have a shop look at your fuel pump. Unless you know its not. Her car would start up and work for a while then it would die. So Im not positive if this is the case. One thing that surprised me was that the shop drove her car around town (Bakersfield) for almost 2 hours until the car died. I found that very interesting.

Turn your key to get your accessories to work, but don't crank the engine. When the key is turned, you should hear the fuel pump surge from the rear of the car. If you don't you might begin by finding out if the fuel is functioning.

Just a suggestion. Good luck with the diagnostic.

Could be a clogged fuel line or filter.

check for spark.

no spark = replace the coil in the distributor

I'm thinkin distributor.. fairly common on honda's for them to go out but with how they work it's not suprising.

i pulled the wires that go to the distributor and my brother tried to start the car and there was no spark in them, so is it the wires or the spark plugs??
