Power steering issue...
I have an 98 Accord Coupe EX J30 98K that needs a new power steering pump I believe. Before I go delving into the motor I thought I'd post a thread for any advice.
Syptom:
Just noticed (like today) a whine by the belts, it increases and decreases in volume as I turn the wheel. The noise is a hydraullic noise that sounds like PS but I wanted to make sure.
I consider myself an 8-9 on a scale of 1-10 regarding technical ability. Looking at the pump, it doesn't look too hard of a job. However I want to make sure I do it right since I have never replaced a PS pump on a Honda. Please advise...

The more I listen to the noise, the more it sounds like the alternator. It sounds like the bearing is shot in it. How long can I drive on it before encountering amperage loss? It still turns over fine. Anyone have any tips for changing it out? I am going to take it to the dealer so they can diagnose it in the morning just to make sure. Thanks...
