new azenis supposedly?
I got the pic off of our local forums and then after talking with Falken Tire at Nopi about them I wondered if anyone else had opinions on a sneak peek of supposedly the new azenis tire.
More rain friendly would be nice, but dangit I need new tires soon!
(falken said it would be the beginning of next year before they would be available)
I read some reviews on them and supposedly they have more wet grip and more dry grip. Those tires already have good dry traction but now are supposed to be better. I may have to try them out!
i remember when i went to the sema show the guy was telling me that those azenis sports are supposed to be hott ****!!!
like wet traction=
and dry traction=
but he said they were gonna raise the price about 10 a tire depending on size
and when those come out the azenis sports we have now will never be produced again

Try some Yokohama Advan Neova AD07's (don't know if they sell them in the US) - I just bought a set for my evo, and you just wouldn't believe how well these things grip and stick to the road - I've tried many different brands.. nothing beats the AD07s.. Good in the rain too!
They're made in Japan too, so that should go down well with the HT JDM crowd

Well, I was running Azenis before this - and I feel that the AD07s have much better grip - especially when I throw my evo around a corner at high speed - azenis still slides a bit, but these are quite stable.. Best thing about them is that they work well in the rain too.
I must mention though, that they're the most expensive tires i've ever bought.. would some place like tirerack sell them? I don't live in the US, so its useless asking me about prices

the new azenis won't be available to after the first of the year. I think the rep said that they were waiting to finish making the final of this design.

I don't get how you couldn't like a tire that has all the dry grip the old tire had plus has the wet grip which it was lacking? I had azenis' on my old civic and loved them but they were scary in heavy rain conditions so if they have improved the wet traction for a small increase in price that is fine with me.
If you don't like the new tire because of the tread pattern you are a fuggin idiot.
