Hey guys,

Does the Type S oil pan have baffles in it?

by baffles do u mean raised ridges for reinforcement? then ya. the rsx-s and the tsx are the only k motors that have aluminum oil pans. all other k motors have pressed steel.

By baffles, I believe that he mean a windage tray or internal baffling. It's to keep the oil from sloshing around as much during hard cornering/braking/acceleration in order to keep oil pressure up. It also keeps the oil from frothing up as much from the crank dipping in and out.

It doesn't have any baffles. My friend had baffles installed on his K20a oil pan, for his Honda Challenge car. I'd like to see how Mugen baffled their oil pan.

Mugen sells a baffled oil pan for the DC5 for around 3oo something. Go to
http://www.kingmotorsports.com and see what they have.
