are all d-series distributors the same?
i am getting code 15. i am going to the j-yard and getting another dist. i have heard that the si distributors are different. are the others the same? thanks.

Of the OBD0 88-91 Civic CRXes here is the compatabitliy.
HF, SI, and EX are the same
DX, LX, and STD are the same

no not all the D series distributors are the same, the si has a seven prong, while the other models have a 5 prong. Also I the part number for the Si is TD02U, other models I think are TD01U, the civics have different part numbers.
sounds like bad igniter - the igniter is interchangeable between all of the 88-91 CRX/Civics - just get any distributor and swap out the igniter (if you can't find right distributor)
