I recently bought a 92 accord.. im not driving it yet, it needed some stuff first. but i changed the oil, filter, plugs... etc but now the car blows out a lot of white smoke, which it didnt before. The car is not started everyday, i work on it when i have time so its been basically sitting since i got her. Im hoping its from the new synthetic oil and that its not been running alot since i put it in, but im not sure. If anyone can please let me know.. thanks

 

white smoke sounds like coolant leaking but not necessary. Does it goes away when the car warms up?
Blueish smoke would be the oil and black unburnt fuel.

 

It seems that the smoke is more during start up but reduces considerably after a while.

 

Have you checked your oil to see if there is any coolant in it? I doubt it is from the new syn oil. Maybe it is just condensation in the exhaust and muffler.

 

Does the smoke smell like something's burning? If so, it's most likely oil from the valve cover gasket, since those tend to go really easily on 4th gen Accords. I had the same thing happen to mine, and with the same symptoms. It's an easy 1-2 hour repair.
