Default wrapping an eg dashboard.

Im not too fond of the cracked looking vinyl on my 94 ex dash, I would like it to be a smooth rich leather like an integra GSR. does it sounds feasable to reuphoslter the dash in leather?

FYI I have a spare dash in my living room, so thats what I would use. has this been done before

I suppose it'd look good if you could pull it off,
but then the dash wouldnt match the door panel etc.

Thats true, he should then follow it up with the door, then the seats ext that would look pretty nice imo

I got black gs leather seats in already, and the back were wrapped, I plan on doing the roof and door panels.

Try it and let us know how it goes... What's it gonna hurt to try if you have an extra dash camping out in your living room?

go to your local hobby and craft store and look for vinyl leather-like sheets.... should be like 7 bucks a sq. yard
you can play with them and try to wrap it around the dash,
use a heat gun to mold the wrap around curves and use some 3m spray adhesive to keep it on there

I agree with igo4BMX on using a synthetic leather instead of real leather. With something like a dashboard, where it's ALWAYS going to be in the sun, you'll need to condition it about four times a week to keep in good shape.

I found nice marine-grade vinyl at JoAnn fabrics that came in several colors. I can't remember what the price was, but it was very similar looking to American leather (as opposed to European leather).

Unless it's a garaged show car, I think you'll find vinyl will end up being much more durable in the long run.
