Default will a type r tranny fit my b18a vtec?

just like it said. just want to get one but first off just want to know what i need to do first. my tranny is a cable. a buddy of my says i could use the stuff from a 94 up model car to do the covert it to hydro but not sure if it will work. what do you guys think?

not to sure i know if what hydro it would bolt right up. i think there are si cable tranny. itr and b16 have same gear ratio.

youll need a b16 cable tranny to make it work.

b16 trans is the same as a type r just w/o the lsd

you could use it....but you will need to buy the hydro to cable conversion from ha sport though....to answer your question, it will bolt right on

Not true. Please don't post false information. The gear ratio's are slightely different.

bahaha..never heard of putting a vtec head on a non vtec block?
its just what a whole lot of HT does these days..

do you have the b18a in the original integra? if not then what? you can bolt it right up but not in DA's or EF series chassis..if it is in your teg then no.

Well i acutally i do know the ls/vtec and b20 vtec motors very well considering i have one in my dc2. but thank you for the heads up on what people do here in HT, like i didnt know in the first place

they are actually the exact same, minus lsd and stronger synchros. unless your talking about the jdm y1 the gear ratios are the same

dont want the b16 final gear it is too short want the r and dont want to change the b16 gear to a ls or r's but thanks alot guys

This is not true. The JDM 98-01 ITR. It has longer gears ( smaller in number)


All B-Series block will bolt up to all the B-Series tranys.
