Need help with this turbo! *pics*
I bought this turbo.. The guy said its a T28 hybrid.. SO i figured awesome it would spool fast on my dohc zc motor...
Pretty much i have stock internals just bolting on the kit and going for about 200hp.
I got the turbo in the mail and i see this..
Ok so obviously the exhaust housing is huge...
I was askingpeople on HMT if this turbo would be good.. Most said i should sell it and some said it would just be a little laggy...
I was wondering what you guys think..
Is is too laggy? I dont want 1k rpm of useable power band... I would like full boost AT THE LATEST of 5krpm

thats a HUGE housing lol. I have a .63 rear and i hit full boost aorund 4k rpms give or take alittle....i would change the housing n sell that one.
the reason why some go t3/t4 is so you can spool relativly fast and yet get the t4 compressor...this looks like the opposite effect...small compressor, big turbine. some people run .89 turbine t3/t4's but they are very laggy around 5k to 5.5k full boost. I would sell it and get something a lot smaller since our hondas can't flow that much exhaust to use that turbo. Just my .02
