Default skunk2 IM on turbo LS

I recently bought a skunk2 manifold for my LS turbo setup, and noticed that the runners are a larger size than the bore on the cylinder head. Do you think this will hinder performance? I mean, the pressurized air is going to flow through the manifold, then hit the edges of the intake ports instead of flowing in smoothly. I was thinking of getting a die grinder and port matching my cylinder head to that of the manifold. Any suggestions???

I have no experience with skunk 2 manifolds, or LS motors really, but I can tell you port matching the head to the intake manifold will make the airflow muuuuuuch happier. I would say it's worth your while.

Yea because like you said: The air is gonna hit the wall formed by the smaller head ports and won't flow very smoothly... DO THE PORTING!!!
