My OIL questions.
mobil 1 10w 30
all year
if anything you would change to heavier weight in summer and lighter weight in winter, but i would say that is not necessay unless you live in the arctic... or desert

the best oil to get is the one from honda directly. Also the transmission oil is a good idea to change before the actual time. Every time after i did my oil change my ride would feel smoother.

1) castrol gtx or honda 10w30 non-synthetic
2) i run 10w30 year round, it doesn't get very cold around here. if it does get cold around you, swich to 5w30 for winter time.

I've tried mobil 1 in alot of other cars and it always burns. My friend that works at EZ lube can attest to that. For a motor oil that is praised nation wide, i would expect better.
I recently tracked my car with castrol syntec and got about 2 1/2 hours of track time. I checked my oil levels prior, during, and after the event and was surprised that my oil levels remained the same throughout the day with basically non stop vtec and redlining.

Sorry if this is a report by the way - didnt notice a thread on here before about it.
So lighter oil in the winter huh - I suppose that makes sense. I live in Ohio, and it certainly does get cold here.

and who's the supplier for the majority of honda badged oils and fluids?
run the 10w30 year round, you don't need a "lighter" oil, or should I say lower viscosity oil. Synthetics are your best bet, the additives are better in them and as a result, the oil retains it's properties longer to protect your engine.

np, forgot to mention you'll find Mobil as the producer for quite a few Honda labeled oils and fliuds, unless Honda changed something recently.
