comptech icebox/intake
itr throttle body
greddy sp,
vafc2
pretty soon gonna add skunk 2 stage 1 cams and gears ,b&m fpr,timing belt,
Do i really need to raise my redline ,im looking at least 170 whp
Im gonna get my gsr dynoed afterwards

my mistake i worked to much today. i wouldnt raise ur redline by just adding the cams without more extensive valvetrain work. keep it stock and dino it im sure u could find a way to reach 170 without risking damage.

 

do you recommend i upgrade my valve springs /retainers

 

I did 188.6 on the same setup you have revving to 8700. Yes, you must get valvesprings and retainers. Didnt even tune the gears at all. VAFC2 fuel tuning, stock injectors.

 

I though that the Stage one cams didn't need valvetrain and tuning? Recommended but not needed.

 

stage 1 cams dont need new valvetrain ,it is only recommended,but it certainly does need tuning
