Default Pictures of my latest ITR mods....

G'day everyone....what do you think of my latest mods?

Exhaust:
2.25" cat-back exhaust system with a '3A-Racing' muffler. It's made of nice stainless-steal, seamless welds, sounds great (but does not drown out the lovely VTEC sound) and best of all....it does NOT 'drone' (is barely noticabile) at highway speeds 100+kmh (60+mph), which is good; as I do a lot of driving!!

Hand Brake Lever:
Aluminum and has an engraved 'Type R' logo.

Racing Tyres:
Michelin cut-slicks, off an Australian GTP 'Type R' and are extremely sticky. Bridgestone RE540S (195/55R15), barely road legal and way better than Falken Azenis.

If there are any Australian (Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney) forum members....and you're interested in buying the RE540S, drop me either a PM or email.

everyone.

Standard Australian ITR spec lights....tinted with a mix of 1 part black paint and 3 parts clear coat.

That muffler gets the big
DTM exhausts like that remind me of German cars especially VW's
But you gotta love those Milano Red R's with gunmetal wheels

The picture does not show the tinting properly and when the lights/indicator are 'active', there is no problem what so ever with visibility PLUS I've had not complaints from anyone or more importantly, the Police. Basically - if you can't see these lights when they're working, then you should NOT be driving!!

I dont like the tips, but hey, you dig 'em, its your R.

I wanted something differnt to the usually 'straight' and 'drain' pipe styles and I didn't want it to be noisy when cruising along.

The tyres ROCK big time.

Anyways, had fun with the VIC HSCC people. Nice people and nice track! (compared to Wakefield)

You need to use a 'heat gun', to warm the glue underneath the handle and then you can twist it off. Unfortunately, there is a raised ridge running along the bottom of the metal chassis, which you need to remove....but this ain't an easy task; as it needs to be ground off (unless someone has a better way?). There are two methods (see below) for this - the first being extremely messy and not recommended....while the second, is a bit more fiddly.

1. Grind the ridge off, while the handle chassis is in the car....this (I would imagine) would make an awful bloody mess.
2. Remove the centre console molding, take the hand-brake mechanism out and thne grind the ridge off (outside of the car).

Once reassembled, you can then slide any (that fits) after-market handle over the top....all done!
