Default full custom exhaust with apexi n1

i called the muffler shop Miami and asked them for an estimate for a 2 1/2" full custom exhuast system straight back from the head with an apexi n1 and dc sports ceramic coated. they told me 240 installed if i bring the exhaust and header. is this a good price? what kind of gains should i expect from this mod

240 is a rip for just the install. install all of the stuff yourself and save 240.

I have a similar setup, custom 2.5" with a DC header, no cat, apexi N1. Pretty loud, but it flows well. I'd personally recommend a resonator to dampen the noise a bit. I've been considering putting a resonator on mine lately. It sounds awesome, but the noise levels get to me sometimes.

There's no way it's going to be mandrel bent piping for 240.

It's going to be crush bent I bet... meaning the walls of the actual piping crimp/crush and will restrict your exhaust gas flow.

I did this one my 3g Lude. It cost me 150 at Riteway. I think that 240 may be a bit much; even in your area.

my friends apexi n1 official (not knockoff) muffler on 2.5" custom mandrel bent piping from kteller + 18" resonator sounds like crap papsmear. It's the worst sounding car ever. Point and laugh style.

Other than that, i have absolutely no comments.

I dont trust "custom piping" spend 100 more and get real catback n1 proven gains, i dunno thats me u get what u pay for and plus if u buy catback easy install, just a little pain in the *** gettin under the car

I have to agree and say you are better off buying a catback system. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33630 For only about $50 more you can get a real nice catback system. Then all you need is a high flow cat or a test pipe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...WA:IT
Good luck.

i dont know b/c i thought that it would sound nicer if i got custom piping. i mean 240 mandrel bent installed sound like a good price and i thought i would get better gains from 2.25 -2.5 inch piping rather than stock. the 240 is not included with the exhaust i still need to by the apex'i n1

I have a mandrel bent exhaust setup to a n1 muffler.

I still need to do the collector mod to my dc header
too see the full potential of it though
