How well do your aggressive built motor start up.
I was looking for a thread on how built all motor start-up is. Does your motor fire right up every time, or is it rather difficult to start up, is it harder in certain weather. Thanks for responses.
well, people with "big" cams and high compression, maybe ITB's make it harder to start too, i guess i'll find out.
my car starts up fine in the cold or in the heat
it just has trouble starting after i completely fill up the tank with gas. It goes like, crank crank crank crank crank crank crank crank then it goes blop blop blop blop blop blop until you rev it up to keep it running or it'll die

Just thought i'd add. Since my build is done and its pretty cold out. It takes a few cranks to start in the cold, i'm also using the tiny hawker/odyssey battery. I have to give some gas for a few seconds when its real cold or it'll die. No big problems though.
My 12.25CR 2.3 liter with aggressive nonVTEC cams takes a little longer to start when it is cold out but nothing I'd consider excessive. I use the stock starter and a Odyssey PC680 too.

12.5 CR S2S3 cams. I only had it back for a day before it got sent back in for a dyno tune. It didn't really start worth a crap on the stock ECU (SVO 450 CC injectors), and the AEM base map I was using wasn't really compatible with the motor.

Nice crazy setup.
I'm using that battery too.
