Default so confused help?????

how come if u put a b16 or vtec head on a ls or b20 it increases the compression.. but if u put like a ls head on a b20 which has lower compression it changes. or do i have it all wrong and will the 16 head just give it vtec... help me to understand please.

The way i see it its the way the head is shaped and made, the way the valves work and what not that it will raise the compression. More of a dome area or something to raise it. And a LS has more of a flat area. Just a guess here.

Would also like to know, so i could be smart and know

so someone else was telling me something about the pistons. and that is why the compression will not be raised with a ls head on a b20 they said it would be a waste of time ... and of course the b18 pistons wont fit in the b20 ha.. i dont understand the dome thing if this is true also. maybe more power from vtec head becuz it flows better and revs higher but other wise still confused here dude.
