Do you guys think 15" rims would look funny. I was thinking of getting the 15" te-37 in gun metal grey so they should stand out too much like white rims.
Here is my R with 15" rims. They don't look THAT bad.

I saw a picture of a PY Type R with white TE-37 and it looked kinda funny.
Keep in mind that TE37's are a bit wider than stock rims. That, and odds are, the owner probably had 205/50's on there. Both factors contribute to what I used to kid RStoR about when he got TE37's in 15" - the "Moon Patrol" effect. You end up with a smaller overall diameter, which on a stock-spring car, causes more wheel gap. My car shows the same thing with 205/50's on stock-sized rims (not quite as badly though).
Drop the car a bit, and they look great, *especially* the white TE37's on PY R's (my opinion). Save the gunmetals and bronzes for those of us with black R's
Andrew where did you get that sticker with the number?
Is that a dent on the quarter panel???
andrew, fock'n sweet!!!!

15" on an ITR is fine. The tyre selection is better, too.
There are many more desireable tire options starting with 16's and up, most of which aren't even available in 15s.
Which poses a problem for me since a better set of wheels and tires is higher up on my list than any other "mod" right now.
And no, I'm not saying this just to be "difficult".
Sorry George, but the selection of "good" tires in the 15' size seems limited to the Aziens (sp) and 032R. IMO

Oh and about a good track street tire.. Jack and Chad are quite fast on their 50$ a tire 205/50/15 P700s... And I drove Georges car with the Azenis, and was very impressed!
About the first question, you should worry about what others think of your car, do what you want to do and what is practical...
I was under the impression the thread originator was looking for some type of general purpose "street" tire, which is why I included the above choices, as well as the "IMO".
Which of you guys runs your Khumos, Hoosiers or race slick Goodyears all the time (~ 10K miles/year).
There have been tires I'd wanted to get for mixed street/track use (from tire rack), that were not available in anything less that a 16 incher. I started to do another search on that site for them, but yes.. I'm terribly behind at work, and once again will be here all weekend (so stick to the facts). !!!
Rotational mass/size wise... good forged light weight wheels aren't cheap.
Got my eye on a set of SSR Comps (type C), might have to make them track only w/tires to keep up with you boys!

I commend you Andrew for using the ITR as it was intended.
The car doesn't look like it has a dent along with that black scuff mark.
Either way it looks SWEET!
