Default shes up and running

sweet ***, i got my 91 civic back up and running. you may remember it from such threads as: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=995125

what i did was i talked to a honda tech the other day and he said the coolant temp sensor may have hiccuped. the ecu thought the engine needed more gas since the motor was cold and tried to fast idle and flooded the engine. there was probably too much gas and it was wetting down the compression. he said shoot some oil in the cylenders and try it, and it started right up.

now my question is have any of you seen this before? and should i then replace the coolant temp sensor. and what if that wasnt even the problem? how do i stop it from happening again?

That is why I asked: 'What do the spark plugs look like?'..
Even though the plugs are "new",they won't fire if they are soaked with gas..

My friends truck just had the same problem..
We replaced the sensor and the connector on the harness because it
looked like someone shoved a meter probe into it
and the terminals were "stretched out.."

I have seen it several other times as well..

At any rate,Glad you got it going..
