I just got my knock sensor off ebay and don't know the torque specs. I did a search and some people said just hand tighten but then another person said it'll come right off. What are the actual specs? O by the way its a green knock sensor. This one should work on my JDM B16A right? Thanks HT

 

Just hand tighten it in there. The tighter it is the more sensitive it will be and it'll start retarding timing like crazy on you everytime you get onto it. If you're really worried about it falling out (it won't) you could always put loctite on it. Even if it did fall out it's still attached to the wire harness so it won't go anywhere.

 

thanks for the reply. But do i have the right knock sensor? I heard theres a difference between the green and black sensors. I have a green one and will it fit on my JDM B16A?

 

from what I know, I understood that they'd both fit the block but that the wiring connector might be different between them. So if yours plug into your wiring harness you should be fine. Maybe another from this site can confirm this as well?
