HELP! Bent valves, need a reputable machine shop... any recommendations?
2000 GSR head, have a few bent valves. Looking for a machine shop that will do a good job for a decent price, if not really really cheap would also be nice. Here are my reasons for needing a machine shop, maybe some of you can prove this wrong.
Need to check valve guides, is this necessary? Why?
Recut the valves to match the head, is this necessary? Why?
And what other parts do I need to replace? Valve guide seals?
First time taking off the head and doing this much work on a motor, so any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

1. if you bent a valve there is the possiblity that you cracked or warped the guide.
2. if you bent a valve there is the possiblity that you may have damaged the valve seat
3. if the guides arent fucked and the head is still fairly new then probably wont need to change the seals, but its some extra insurance because we all hate it when we had the chance to do something but we didnt
4. a slight resurfacing never hurts either
shops that do good work for a fair price in they bay area:
S&S machine shop in San Leandro
Rob's Machine Shop in Hayward does great machining but will charge you *** some good money
