what cams for me???
jdm gsr motor with 10.6:1 compression
jdm dc 4-1 header
skunk2 IM
cai
kenji chipped p28 ecu
2.5" exhuast piping
apexi muffler
msd ignition upgrade
i'm thinking of just getting a CTR intake cam so i can just put it in and go.
what do you guys think? i don't plan on upping the rev limit or anyting like that.
i just want some more midrange power and top end. i'm going to keep the stock redline at 8200 so i don't have to upgrade the valvetrain
thanks

They are designed to run well with anything from 10-13:1 compression. I guess the new Spec 4's are supposed to as well, despite being more aggressive.

forget about CTR or ITR you got decent upgrade already those R's will limited your bolts on potential as well as ur engine output
how about sk2 stage2 with their recommend spring and shesh....+FPR (fuel pressure riser) + cam gears
dond thave enuf money might as well save it...if get cams then get everything at once...to tune well...

i don't understand why the CTR or ITR intake cam would hurt him though. i'm sure the other guys on this board have mods on their motors and are having no problems using any of the R cams.

it's not hurt but gain wont be as much and with the same hassle of replace valvestrina and stuffs why not going for s2s2 or aftermarket cams....CTR ITR has they own limit

Then stick with OEM Honda cams. I'm running a CTR cam with a Si Exhaust, I noticed a huge difference when I replaced the Si cam with the CTR, more power, torque, and VTEC pulls a hell of a lot harder.
