I was just wondering if boring out the B16 to 82 mm would be safe. i plan to rev the motor up to or a little more than 9k with BC spec 3's and 12:1 C/R.

its ok with the stock rev limit, and honda even aproves of 81.50mm. but your reving past 9rpm,i would not recomend it at all, if you reving that high i would go with some 81.25mm. or just sleeve the motor and get the best results.

 

I would not bore to 82mm without sleeving it i run 84mm on GE sleeves

 

If this is a drag car only. I say go for it.

If this i your daily driver where reliability effects your life stay @ 81.50mm
