Where in Sac.??
Whats his license plate Number.
Check the sunrise area tonight, and head out over to fruitridge and perkins. I known of people steeling cars that are pretty much stock not to strip(because their aint nothing to strip), but to race and just destroy those things.

Well when you consider that there's roughly 35 million people that live in California and statistically a car is stolen every 27 seconds in the US, it's not unusual to see "one post a day" unfortunately about stolen civics. The worst part of it all is that 87% of the perpetrators get away with it. If you look at those odds, is it any wonder people are out there stealing cars? sucks doesn't it....

did they steal his rims and leave those rims on it. that really show it wasnt the brightest person. i woulda (not that im a theif or anything) kept the wheels and put donuts or steelies on it. what was this theif thinking?

the car will most likely be deemed TOTALED sense the airbags are gone, reguardless taht the motor is still there, just to get it to look decent agin will cost more than $5,000 IMHO... i dont think he even wnts it back

Yeah, the insurance company will likely consider it totaled. But your friend should buy it back from the insurance company and part it out, still a lot of good/desirable parts on there.

yea he could make a quik 2k on engine and tranny alone... piecing it back together would be easy... scarpo the stock steering wheel, go with an afetrmarket, no airbag. getting used door panels is easy. front bumper and new fenders and a hood... ahouldn't be entirly to hard.
well whatever you decide good luck and all in all conside yourself some what lucky, i've seen cars that were alot worse.

That sucks. He didn't have it layered with like a kill switch or anything? Sorry, I may just be a little over the top when it comes to things like that now. I had a 92 CX hatch all stock (which I only had for two months) that was stolen last Feb. and never recovered. Now I don't play around with car security. Thieves
