Default clutched slipped! will it be okay?

i was in a hurry today and reved the engine quite high (4-5K) before releasing the clutch. instead of the wheels squeling, the clutch slipped all the way in first gear to red line. smelled kindda funny afterward but it seemed to be operating normal now. did i do any damage to the clutch? will it have the tendency to keep slipping now that's happened? it's a fairly fresh clutch.

it's not good for the clutch, but if it's still fairly new and still grips alright it should be fine, just do do that too often

i'm assuming it's an oem or equivalent clutch. the car (a gsr) is completely stock so i doubt it that it's a performance aftermarket clutch. i've just recently bought the car and i was told both the timing belt and clutch are within a few months old so it should be good for at least 20 - 30k or so miles. i will get it upgraded eventually but not unless i have to because it's working great now (most of the time).
