Default power of 2.5" exhaust sys at 6k rpm

well i got my stuff repleace from header all the way down with 4-1/2.5" with 2.5" all the way to muffler...

hitting on 1st gear....hard pulled liek usual until it hits 6k rpm i feel a massive power add on..to redline...transistion to 2nd gear massive power found than ever before...

is this how this exhaust + header system work...only for top end...anyone have the same feeling as i did?

I agree with you man. I'm in the same boat. I have a GSR in my EG, and my exhaust mods are a OEM ITR 4-1 HEADER, 2.5" hightflow cat, 2.5" madrel bend pipe into a manaflow oval muffler. My setup run great and feels snapy but only at 5k and up? I understand honda are not torquey motors, but from idle to 4k a stock d16 is snappier. I really don't think our 2.5" exhaust setups will make that much of a difference, but then again my motor is currnetly bone stock.

Please leave some advise from previous learned situations.

hmm ima get mines on next week so i'll find out.
i kno my set up is a big killer. 2.5inch header to a flex pipe that tapes to 2inch
then to a apexi ws that tapers back to 2.25 which is a baffled exhaust. this set up should free up alot of hp

don't worry man...for bolt on stuffs that the way it should be...but later you will upgrade more stuffs right...2.5" exhaust system power up by add more power to the engine bay..so basically it will give you more gain if you have more power add to your setup....well cuz out piping is 2.5" wich is kinda larger than wat it need for stock bone engine....+4-1 collector merge at 2.5" lose some power at beginning...so chill

hmm if you are running tapes to 2" then 2.25 to to my knowledge of measuring the stock collector of my GSR it has 1.75" i think....if you are opening at 2" then 2.5"...of course you will gain some throughout the range but not as much as 4-1 with 2.5 header at top end...

with 2" you won't gain much tq i think...but let...see...are you going to dyno your car afterward? well will you tell me how it runs anyway thanx man
